Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are anticipated, as the firm intending to announce full details in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Prior news stated the company aimed to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

As of December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 contract workers.
